Attention Schools Delivering Section 28 Services

Acentra Health will end all Section 28 “School-Related SPT Exempt” authorizations after December 31, 2024.

Effective January 1, 2025, you will no longer be able to use the following procedure codes:
• H2021HI School-Related, One-to-One (BHP), and SPT Exempt
• H2021HK Specialized School-Related and One-to-One – SPT Exempt

Beginning January 1, 2025, Acentra Health will create new authorizations under the “non-SPT exempt” code/modifier combinations. No provider action is needed. Acentra Health will keep the existing end date on the new authorization, and will prorate the units, based on the units that Acentra certified in the original request. Providers can view new cases and authorization numbers by accessing the Daily Authorization Report in Atrezzo.
