Children’s Single Assessment Referral Training for BHH and TCM Care Coordinators

Referral Process

Beginning February 2, 2026, Single Assessment Referrals will be the required statewide process for determining eligibility for children’s medium- and high-intensity behavioral health services, under Maine’s Children’s Behavioral Health Services Settlement Agreement.

Single Assessment is a standardized approach to assessing behavioral health needs and identifying the appropriate level of care and clinically indicated services for children who require medium- to high-intensity services.

Training

Acentra Health, in collaboration with the Maine’s Office of Children’s Behavioral Health Services (CBHS), will offer training for BHH Care Coordinators and Children’s TCM providers on the Single Assessment request process and completion of the Coordinated Service Plan (CSP) questionnaire, which supports care coordination and service planning following the Single Assessment.

All training sessions will present identical content. Participant questions are encouraged, and a consolidated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document will be  available following completion of the trainings.
